Spring
Waterfalling: TLC is wrong on this particular occasion… When the snow is melting the waterfalls are definitely worth chasing.
Golf: The greens have thawd, get back out their! Stoney Brook is the best local golf course in the nation (in my opinion).
Wildflower Hikes: as well as garden walks at establishes like Cricket Hills aka Peony Heaven.Wigwam Road in Litchfield on a sunny day in April or May and take a walk through the 15 acres of daffodil plantings at Laurel Ridge Farm.
White Water Rafting: The rivers are high. There are numerous white water tours within an 45 minute drive. We suggest Clarke Outdoors in Cornwall!
Fly Fishing: North West CT is arguable offer’s the best fly fishing on the East Coast. Late Spring is the best time of year to go! There are also raft fishing tours as well.
Summer
Lakes & Rivers: Float down the Farmington, Kayak the Housitonic and hang at the beach club on Wormog Lake! The water is warm and there are hundred of lakes and rivers to explore!
Hiking: This is truly a year round activity in the area but summer is definitely the ideal time to go!
White Water Rafting: The rivers are still high in summer. The rapids are a little less intense - a great activity for all ages this time of year. We suggest contacting Clarke Outdoors in Cornwall!

Fall
Foliage: Put on some Dave Mathews and go for a slow hour long drive. The roads look incredible. If you have your motorcycle license… you know what to do!
Hiking: Not only the road but the trails are incredible this time of year!

Apple & Pear Picking: Drive out to one of the many beautiful orchard (we suggest March or Avril Farms). Eat some apple cider donuts, drink some cider, pick some fruit, bake a pie… be American.
Hot Air Balloon: It’s expensive but soooo worth it during peak foliage season. Truly a bucket list adventure but dress like you’re going to the arctic!
Farm to Table Dining: This is the season to spend a little extra money to experience the peak culinary potential of this farm land. High-end restaurant tout unique boi-dynamic autumn entires that truly represent fall cuisine.
Winter
Skiing: Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall is Connecticut's largest and oldest ski area, with 25 trails, night skiing, snow tubing, and a ski shop.
Ice skating: There are several ice skating rinks in northwest Connecticut, including Cuyler Rink, Drady Rink, and Hotchkiss School Rinks.
Snowshoeing: You can go snowshoeing at Black Rock Park, Burr Pond State Park, and Housatonic Meadows State Park.
Ice fishing: Many lakes and ponds in Connecticut are popular for ice fishing, and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection offers ice fishing classes.
Cross-country skiing: You can go cross-country skiing at Black Rock Park, Burr Pond State Park, and Housatonic Meadows State Park.
Snowmobiling: You can go snowmobiling in Connecticut state parks and forests.
Ice boating: You can go ice boating in Connecticut state parks and forests.
