  • Winvian: The Newly refurbished farm has made quite the splash in the hostility world. Fresh on site produce make their dining experience a seasonal treat.

  • The Owl: A casual neighborhood food and wine bar with a large lovely terrace and fireside dining – delicious salads, pizza, desserts, and yummy wines.

  • Swyft: A casual tavern serving seasonal food (soups, salads, pastas, and sandwiches) and Neapolitan style wood-fired pizzas. Go for the pizza though. It is really standout!

  • Fly Fish on The Farmington River

  • Schedule a Hot Air Ballon Tour with Berkshire Balloons

  • Go on a Wildflower Hikes or Garden Walk at Cricket Hills aka Peony Heaven. Take a walk through the 15 acres of daffodil plantings at Laurel Ridge Farm

  • Cycle Around Lake Warmaug

  • Kayak, canoe or whitewater raft in any one of our local lakes, ponds or rivers

  • Golf one of the many courses

  • Tube down the Farmington River

  • Visit one of the many Vineyards and Distillery’s in the area

  • Hike up Kent Falls!

  • Visit one of the many farms that offers seasonal apple, pear and pumpkin picking! Eat apple cider donuts and enjoy!

  • Peep the foliage between Mid-September - end of October!

  • Take a hike through the Litchfield Hills!  This area is great for beginner hikers, families with small kids, groups who want to get into nature, but not get too sweaty, and for people with dogs on leashes.

  • Go Antiquing!

  • See a play or performance at the Warner Theater or Sharon Playhouse

  • Seasonally attend the many weekend fair’s and carnivals

  • Enjoy cycling along the rolling hills

    Winter Adventures

  • Ski Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall, Conneticuts’s largest and oldest ski area! Night Skiing and Snow tubing is a must!

  • There are several ice skating rinks in the area or be extra adventurous and go out on one of the lakes!

  • Cross-Country Skiing + Snowshoeing: Black Rock Park, Burr Pond State Park, and Housatonic Meadows State Park are the perfect spots for a beautiful glide across the snow

  • Many lakes and ponds in Connecticut are popular for ice fishing, and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection offers ice fishing classes. 

  • You can go snowmobiling in Connecticut state parks and forests.
